GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Agrani Bank Training Institute is engaged in preparing and implementing training plan of the Bank. The Institute is entrusted with the responsibility of formulating and designing course curriculum, reading materials, course contents for imparting training to the officers/staff members. The Training Institute also organizes and coordinates training programs at Circle/Zonal levels. The Institute imparts training through specific training schedule on overall banking and management for the purpose of enhancing professional efficiency of all officers and managers. In the same manner, Orientation and Foundation Training is imparted for promoting professional knowledge and skills of the officers/staff members of the bank. The Institute conducts seminars and conferences on different issues for top executives and experienced bankers for the overall development and welfare of the bank and society. Agrani Bank has been transformed into Public Limited Company and started functioning since 15 November, 2007 with new zeal, enthusiasm and commitment. This change has widened scope of training with new attitude. To cope up with the changes and introduction of new tools and techniques for implementation of guidelines of Govt. and regulatory bodies and also for the purpose of implementation of reforms and modernization of the bank, Training Institute offers to stress on new courses and methods of training and course contents.

• To contribute to the strategic capability of Agrani Bank Limited by developing a skilled, committed, ethical and well-motivated human resource through training.

MISSION STATEMENT FOR ABTI
• To impart training to increase knowledge, develop skill and bring change in attitude of manpower based on training need assessment at individual, task and organizational level.
• To organize need-based training program to cope with changes and introduction of new con-cept and technology for achievement of Bank's business strategy.

JOB SPECIFICATION OF ABTI
• Formulate Annual Training Calendar.
• Design training schedule of the courses as per Training Calendar.
• Develop reading materials.
• Organize training courses as per schedule and also as & when necessary.
• Conduct participants' evaluation and inform all concerned.
• Prepare training budget for approval of the authority.
• Maintain training records and provide necessary information for MIS.
• Maintain books of accounts.
• Keep contact with leading training institutes of the country.
• Contribute in the training arena as an institutional member of Bangladesh Society for Training and Development (BSTD).
